YMCA Norfolk shop puts on Royal Wedding display
Hunstanton celebrated the Royal Wedding with a town centre party and the resort’s YMCA shop supplied wedding dresses to help complete the occasion.
All shops in the town were asked by the Town Council to dress their windows with the theme of a Royal Wedding to mark the marriage of Prince William and Catherine Middleton.
Julie Briggs, Manager at YMCA Hunstanton shop, created a fantastic window display with wedding dresses contributed by regular customers who were married many years ago.
Julie said: “We were happy to join in the fun and at the same time highlight our work supporting the vital work of the YMCA in Norfolk. We are looking to run some more fundraising events in the near future.”
The charity shop is one of four such facilities selling second-hand goods to raise much-needed cash for Christian young people’s charity YMCA Norfolk. The others are located in Thetford, King’s Lynn and Diss.
